Sometimes we mean to comfort, yet still cause hurt.The prophet reminds us that a life-giving word does not begin with speaking. It begins with listening. We learn to encourage others by becoming humble enough to hear, patient enough to learn, and compassionate enough to understand.When we listen with empathy, care, and wisdom, we begin to recognize what to say, when to say it, and how to say it.
