When What's Happening Around You Isn't Happening Within You | Justin Cooper

Have you ever been surrounded by people who seem genuinely on fire for something — excited, joyful, fully alive — while you sit there feeling nothing, or worse, irritated by their joy? That experience is more common than most people admit, and this message goes straight to the root of why it happens. Drawing from the story of King David's worship and his wife Michal's bitterness in 2 Samuel 6, Pastor Justin Cooper unpacks the spiritual conditions — never being in the battle, never being broken, never having truly blessed the Lord — that leave people cold and disconnected even when God is moving all around them. Whether you've been in church your whole life and feel spiritually numb, or you've recently noticed a growing apathy in your soul that you don't know how to shake, this message will help you identify what's really going on and what to do about it. The truth is, you don't have to watch from the window while everyone else experiences what God is doing — you can be right in the middle of it. Key scriptures include 2 Samuel 6:16–23, 1 Chronicles 16:7–36, and references to the Ark of the Covenant and the presence of God returning to Israel.
