When You Are Afraid of The Future / Christian Sleep Podcast

from Quiet In The Night · host Bill Scott

When tomorrow feels heavy and uncertain, your heart may whisper questions you're too tired to say out loud. God hears every one of them. Fear about the future often grows in the quiet places of our minds, where worst-case scenarios feel louder than hope. But even there, you are not alone. The same God who has carried you through every yesterday is already standing in your tomorrow. Scripture reminds us, "For I know the plans I have for you… plans to give you hope and a future" (Jer. 29:11). You don't have to see the whole road—just the next step. God lights the path one moment at a time so you learn to walk with Him, not ahead of Him. When fear rises, breathe slowly and remember: God is steady. He does not panic. He does not abandon. He does not forget His promises. Lift your eyes from what might go wrong and rest in the One who goes before you. Let His peace wrap around the places where your heart trembles. Let His nearness become your courage. And when you cannot see what's coming next, trust the One who already holds it tenderly in His hands. You are safe. You are seen. And you are carried into every tomorrow.
