WHEN YOU FEEL INADEQUATE
from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix
Devotional Message: Scripture: “But Moses said to God, ‘Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?’ And God said, ‘I will be with you.’” – Exodus 3:11-12 (NIV) Feelings of inadequacy are not new. Even Moses, called by God to lead Israel out of slavery, questioned his worth and ability: “Who am I?” But God didn’t respond by boosting Moses’ confidence in himself—He simply said, “I will be with you.” In that moment, God shifted the focus from Moses' weakness to His own sufficiency. When you feel unqualified, overwhelmed, or too broken for the task in front of you, remember: God’s presence is your qualification. He doesn’t call the equipped—He equips the called. Your strength isn’t in your background, skills, or confidence. It’s in the One who goes with you. God’s call may feel bigger than you because it is. But that’s where His grace steps in. He doesn't expect you to do it alone. He promises to walk with you, to speak through you, and to work in you beyond your limitations. Today, ask yourself: Am I focusing on my inadequacies, or am I trusting in God’s presence and power to work through me? Prayer: Almighty Father, I often feel inadequate for what You’ve called me to do. But thank You for reminding me that it’s not about who I am—it’s about who You are. Help me to trust in Your presence and obey in faith, knowing You are more than enough. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
