Red sky in the morn, sailors be warn'd!"British sailors lived by that little saying for centuries, and it turned out to be a descent predictor of weather.Jesus also mentioned this red-sky weather predictor: He said, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.’" (Matthew 16:2-3a) But then He followed up with an important statement: "You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times." (Matthew 16:3b)I think Jesus is on to something! What would happen if we paid as much attention to our spiritual horizon as we do to our physical horizon? Would we anticipate certain things taking place? Could we be more prepared for what's to come? Would we be ready?
