When Your Battery Is Low — Acts 18
from The River Church | Post Falls, Idaho
Preaching through Acts 18, this Sunday's message met Paul in Corinth — arriving from a discouraging stop in Athens, walking into a city of 200,000 Roman citizens, 1,000 temple prostitutes on the Acrocorinth, and a synagogue that ran him off. The message traced three ways the Lord cured Paul's discouragement: the fellowship of Priscilla and Aquila, a night vision that told him to keep speaking because God already had many people in that city, and the perfectly timed protection of a Roman proconsul named Gallio who refused to hear the case. The call is simple and costly: when your battery is low, the natural response is to go quiet — but the Lord tells us to do the opposite, to plug in, push in, and keep strengthening one another.
