When You're Feeling Resentful And Unfulfilled In Your Relationship

from Okay, Now What? - With Kate Gladdin · host Kate Gladdin

As a life coach, I am always diving into relationship conflicts people struggle with - that often begin with something like "He should just KNOW that I want quality time with him in the evenings" or "It really hurts when my husband doesn't think to arrange anything for my birthday". Many people feel frustrated or resentful in their marriage because their spouses aren't meeting their needs they way they expected they would. So they double down on trying to control or change them so they can try to feel better. Only problem is, marriage suddenly turns into a long list of obligations to try to make each other happy. It's not a fun time for anyone. I used to feel caught in that same struggle. Until I learned a life changing concept called "the manual" that I teach in this episode and why the best thing you can ever do for your relationship is to throw out your manual completely. Loving what is - that's what true happiness and freedom is.
