Entercom and Urban One have announced a major trade-off, a few format changes have been announced, and EMF has dropped K-Love Classics with the promise of more and better things in 2021. But then there are the budget cuts at iHeart. In the midst of an economy already laden with increasing unemployment and decreasing resources, iHeart stations across the country have put an axe through their local talent pool. What does this mean, why is it happening, and where do we go from here? Is it really #BecauseCovid or is that just an excuse? We go through the cuts and respond to them. Time to get real.
