Where I Create

In this episode of the 'Home Is Where...' podcast, Rose Cabral interviews Nicole Kern. Nicole is the passionate creator of “Be Happy You’re Home,” a vibrant community and resource hub dedicated to helping everyone in Sacramento and beyond create spaces they love, regardless of their living situation. With a mission to teach and inspire, Nicole offers a wealth of interior design knowledge through engaging online courses where students receive real feedback as they progress. As a proud Sacramento native, Nicole has also built a comprehensive home and decor directory featuring over 180 local stores, including hidden gems that Google never lists. Her unique approach breaks down interior design, one room and step at a time. Nicole’s upcoming 3-Day Workshop will provide hands-on learning experiences that demystify design concepts and equip students with the skills to transform their spaces on any budget. Beyond her online presence, Nicole is a local advocate for Sacramento’s vibrant home decor scene, offering a one-stop resource for local gems and great deals. Nicole enjoys spending time with her friends, kids, cats, and husband when she's not transforming spaces or creating educational content.
