Where is God When it Hurts?

Waiting can hurt more than the crisis itself, especially when God seems silent. Psalm 13 lets David bring his sense of abandonment, inner sorrow and threatening enemies to the God who bound Himself to His people by promise. He asks for understanding, yet trusts God's unfailing love before his circumstances change. God may not explain how present pain will end. Jesus' death and resurrection show that God has already acted to save His people, securing their future and giving them reason to pray, trust and praise now.
