The complex hosted events every Friday night. December 3rd 1989 was a particularly special event since it was the complex's annual Christmas Party. Over 200 people were in attendance including Tammy Brannen and her 5 year old daughter, Melissa. Around 10pm, Tammy instructed Melissa to go get their coats.
