Where is the Child Abuse Data? Sharon Shoesmith in 2015 on the paucity of data even for familial child homicide
from Mandate Now · host Mandate Now
How can anyone learn? There is an absence of child abuse data in this country i.e. age, sex, location, abuse type (sexual, physical, neglect, emotional, adult on child, child on child, CSE, CSA, trafficked) Setting : familial, regulated activity - by type, opportunistic, other + outcomes for each. Where is the data? You will see that not even the MR consultation provides it. The data does not to exist. Without it, safeguarding improvements will be glacial. The safeguarding framework that is misapplied to Regulated Activities for the last 60 years is an example. An email to Prof Ben Mathews about the framework that's misapplied to Regulated Activities: http://mandatenow.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Email-to-Mathews-1-.pngHis reply : http://mandatenow.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Email-from-Mathews-2-edit.png Prof Ben Mathews : https://staff.qut.edu.au/staff/b.mathews
