Where is the Hill Cumorah, New York or Mesoamerica?

There were many metal plates containing Nephite records. In this episode of Religion Today, Martin Tanner presents sources describing the quantity of records and where they were deposited: in a rock cavity or cave. He describes the efforts to locate such a cave and records, in the hill by the Smith farm. Martin also describes the various locations in Mesoamerica, in Southern Mexico and Northern Guatemala where caves, fountains of water, lakes and streams are located, as described in the Book of Mormon.
