Where the Dirt Road Ends (What the ....)
from Brian G Walton Hosted by Brian Walton
In a career-defining pivot from the Nashville country scene, artist Brian Walton re-emerged in the mid-2000s as a formidable blues-rock force, drawing on his deep Hollywood production experience—including collaborations with the Grammy-winning Robert Glasper Trio and work on the film The Revenant. His 2015 album What the … stands as a masterful synthesis of this eclectic journey, artfully repurposing his extensive soundtrack and jingle catalog into a blues-infused collection that highlights his award-winning guitar prowess and seasoned vocals. Bolstered by pioneering, patented digitization techniques and a playful creative spirit inspired by his cover band, GeeDub, the record achieved chart-topping success, cementing Walton’s legacy as both a virtuoso performer and an innovative producer.
