Where The Enemy Has Been - Part 1

For all moments from Sunday, 2 August 2023, check out: https://youtube.com/live/n8aLGs87pwA Jack starts with a situation where David, the future king of Israel, is facing one that is filled with challenges and distress. David had been anointed as king but was not yet reigning, and King Saul was jealous of him, pursuing him relentlessly. To escape the pressure, David seeks refuge with the Philistine King, who gives him a city named Ziklag. While David is away, the Amalekites invade Ziklag, burning it down and taking all the women and children captive. Upon returning and seeing the devastation, David and his men are overwhelmed with grief and distress. They even contemplate stoning David, blaming him for the tragedy. In this dire situation, David finds strength in the Lord, encourages himself, and seeks guidance through prayer. He asks God if he should pursue the Amalekites, and God assures him that he will recover all. With renewed determination, David and his men find a captive who leads them to the Amalekite camp, where they find the enemies celebrating the plunder they had taken from Ziklag. For the rest of the story, you'll have to listen in. Within the storytelling Jack emphasizes the importance of trusting in God's plans and not succumbing to fear and doubt. He shares a personal experience about a visiting speaker who accurately prophesied about a family's pregnancy and an attack on the baby but assured that God had already cancelled the assignment. Jack encourages listeners to find strength in God during difficult times and not allow negative voices or situations to rob them of their joy and purpose. He highlights the need to stay rooted in faith and trust that God is always ahead of any challenges or obstacles we may face. --- If this is your first time, we'd like to get to know you; check out details here: https://www.peakvisionchurch.co.nz/welcome If you'd like to know more about Peak Vision Church, you can message us on Facebook. if you prefer email, send an email to: [email protected] or see more info on the web: https://peakvisionchurch.co.nz -- Catch up with us on our socials: Website: https://peakvisionchurch.co.nz Peak Facebook: https://fb.com/peakvisionchurch Peak Instagram: https://instagram.com/peakvisionchurch Peak Yth - Instagram: https://instagram.com/peakyouthhb AO Podcast: https://aopodcast.com Date of recording: 30 July 2023 Speaker: Jack Lamborn Location: Peak Vision Church #peakvision #church
