Where Two or Three Are Gathered
from Between Bread and Stone · host Stephen R. Brewer, PsyD
Last week, the pilgrimage took me into a room where the Church had once hurt people and called it healing. This week, I found another church room. Behind its doors was a kitchen that has been feeding Hanford for forty years. Church of the Saviour is small. The work it has built is not. People from across the town, across denominations and faiths, gather there every day because somebody is hungry and lunch needs to be made. Maybe that is what Jesus meant when he said, “Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.” You are welcome here.
