I did not record a podcast yesterday. And I'm sorry. It was just a very strange day. Do you want to know why?

Because it was the second injection of ozemic. Oh, there's a lot to talk about here. How are you doing? I'm Michael Croce.

I'm very grateful because this. Well, this is the daily grateful. I'm supposed to be grateful. Yeah.

I'm not a Zimic now. You all heard of that. It's a GLP one. It's semi-glutide.

I don't know. It's all this stuff. And it's not cheap, but my insurance is paying for it. Because I've wanted to go on a GLP one for a while because I wanted to lose weight.

Well, as they say, the cost was prohibited. Then this really cool thing happened. This really, really, really cool thing happened. I got invited into a trial for a GLP one pill that you take.

And they paid me to do this. They say, you know, you come up and you you take these pills. I never took any of the bills. I didn't make it that far and they pay you for it.

But here's the thing. You got a 50% chance of getting the real stuff and a 50% chance of getting the placebo. And they pay you so well that if you have the placebo and you kind of figure out that you have the placebo, you keep going. And it got very complicated and all that.

And I said, OK, I'll do this because gosh, its product is free. If it's the product, if it's, you know, if you are one of the winners and get, you know, 50%. And you have one. And the other thing is they're paying you and they're paying you pretty good.

So I said, this is a win-win. So I go up there. I think I was sharing this with you and they put me through all of this testing. They did all this blood work.

And in order to qualify, you had to have an A1C between six and seven. The last time I was at my doctor and had blood work done, my A1C was at six, which my doctor didn't like and wanted to put me on metformin. I took metformin for three days and said, no, I'm not taking this anymore. I'm going to work on my diet or something.

I don't know. Anyway, I figured I'm somewhere in that area. So I went up there and they did all this blood work. I'm in and they called me up and they said, hey, I said, what?

By the way, I was developing a really nice relationship with these people. They were all pretty cool. And I had a crush on the woman that was in charge. OK, it was a crush, but she was like really much younger than me.

And she enjoyed flirting with me. But anyway, they called up and he said, oh, Michael, we got to kick you out of this. I said, what? And she said, you know, I'm going to kick you out of this because you're A1C is at 11.3.

I said, oh, gosh. Then I went from being grateful that I'd been part of this, this trial to being nervous as hell because, you know, that's a pretty high A1C. So I immediately called my doctor and my doctor, by the way, is my new doctor, who was my old doctor that I lost when insurance changed. And I really wanted to go back to this old doctor and the insurance changed again.

And I was able to go back to this old doctor. This is very complicated. So I go to the doctor and I take all my blood work and my doctor says, yep, we got to fix this. I said, OK, she says, luckily we got some really cool stuff to fix this with.

I said, what is it? And they said, it's called ozempic. And I said, that's a GLP one because yes, it is. But, you know, you're getting this because you're a diabetic.

You're a type two diabetic. And that's what you got to think about. But I've been on it for two and a half years and I've lost 22 pounds. Now, my doctor is a not what I would ever consider an overweight woman.

But over two and a half years, she's lost, I think 21 22, I don't know, over 20 pounds. But she said it got my diabetes under control and she said the way it works is it just goes into your system. And if you eat a carbohydrate, it tells your pancreas to produce more insulin to attack the carbohydrate, make sense to me. She was only the other thing.

You're not going to be near as hungry. I said, OK, makes sense to me. So she starts me out with a six week supply. I've since bought a three month supply once I got the script for it.

Once week, you take a little tiny injection in your tummy. They have this little pen. It's not difficult. I was nervous, but she helped me do the first one.

And my son, who is a type one diabetic helped me do the second one yesterday. Now, after I did the first one, I have to tell you, I had brain fog. Now, I don't think that brain fog is part of all of this. I don't.

It might be. But I didn't think of it then. But yesterday when I took the injection, which I took early in the day, I got brain fog, I got brain fog. And then, you know, once is OK, but when you do it twice, that's not a coincidence.

I don't know. I called my doctor, my doctor called me back. And she said, yep, she goes, I've heard of people having that, but it goes away after your third or fourth one. Just be wary of that.

And this happened yesterday and I don't have the brain fog today. But I had the brain fog yesterday and I came in here and sat down to record a podcast and I was talking all over myself. I could not do it. I just said, I've done this every day.

I've been really good five days a week of it in here doing this. And it's just made me feel so grateful to be able to come on here and share. And everybody couldn't do it. All right, I'm not going to do it.

I'm not going to do it. And then I did it. Yeah, you see the thing on TikTok. I'm not going to do it.

I'm not going to do it. Girl, I'm not going to do it. I did it. I recorded.

I could not release what I recorded. Actually, I could release what I recorded, but I'm not going to. It's just what it is. So I'm very grateful for Ozempic.

And I hope next Wednesday, if you don't hear a podcast next Wednesday, don't get mad at me. All right, it's because I have brain fog. I hope I don't have the brain fog because actually the amount of Ozempic I takes goes up next week. So I hope I don't have brain fog.

But if I do, I might come in here and just be silly anyway, I think I'm being silly today, but I don't have brain fog. I actually went out and did stuff today. Am I happy about the possibility of weight loss? Well, I have lost weight.

How much weight have you lost, Michael? I don't know because I have not gotten on the scale, but I do know I've lost weight. Do you know how I've know I've lost weight? I have my belt at the same place.

I've always kept my belt. I'm wearing jeans today and the jeans keep like sliding down yesterday. I was wearing shorts and I had my belt in the same location, different belt, but, you know, it's the same place it always is and my shorts kept falling down. So that tells me I'm losing weight and I look at my face and I feel like I'm losing weight.

I haven't gotten on the scale yet. I'm not going to get on the scale until after next Wednesday. You know, my body has survived years of questionable food choices. Maybe it deserves a medal or maybe some healthy snacks.

I don't know. I'll tell you this. I'm not hungry. I used to wake up in the morning and I would want a carbohydrate.

I would want a carbohydrate. And you know what I'm doing instead of that? I'm taking this boost. This is not a commercial, the little boost drinks with 20% protein and I'll chug one of those in the morning, hoping for energy.

I don't know, but I do that. And then I do it again at night before bed. I will take that with 20. So that's 40 things and then whatever I eat during the day and today I'm having roast beef is what I'm having for dinner.

I'm looking forward to that. And that's going to be good. That's a lot of protein as well. What I'm not doing is I'm not picking up a cupcake.

If there was a cupcake there, I might, but, you know, no, there was and I didn't. I'm just, I'm just not excited about eating and my favorite ex-wife wants to go out and, you know, get snacks and I say, no, I really, I just don't want them. I don't know how this is going to last forever. I hope it does.

But anyway, I apologize for not being here yesterday, but I am grateful for the reason I was not here yesterday. Golly G, you know, my love for pizza is eternal. It is, but it doesn't mean I can't appreciate a body for dodging those extra slices. You know, we had pizza the other night.

I usually have four pieces. I had one and a half technically two, but one and a half. I, you know, just one and a half and I was happy. I was happy.

Have a terrific day. We will see you tomorrow for Friday and I'll be here and I won't be goofy. But if I'm not here Wednesday, don't get mad at me, but I'll probably be here Wednesday, next Wednesday. Anyway, take care everybody.

Bye bye.
