Where's Wilmington - Ep 170: Paul Chalifour & Sergeant Matt Stavro

On this episode of Where's Wilmington Lisa talks with retired Police Officer and history buff Paul Chalifour as well as Sergeant Matt Stavro about the upcoming 150th anniversary of the establishment of Wilmington's police force. Paul shares what it was like when he was joined the force in the late 80's as well the work he is doing to compile a visual and written history for the police department that Matt then shares on social media and on the Police Department website. Matt explains how he got his start in the police department and why he decided to join the force as well as how social media can play an important role in making connections with the community. Also discussed are the upcoming events surrounding the 150th celebration and a special badge and patch that were designed to commemorate this milestone.
