Whiny Butt Weight Loss: Let's Get Real I know, it might sound funny and you can laugh if you want to but Whiny Butt Weight Loss is a real thing. How do I know that it's a real thing? Because I've been stuck there before, too! Why would you want to break free of it? Because whiny butt weight loss is a place where you're not losing weight. Yep, it's a misnomer. ;-) If you want to break free of the whiny butt weight loss space then the first step is to Get Real with yourself, which means to get honest with yourself. Fully honest with yourself. WARNING: this episode is the 136th Get Real episode of The JoLynn Braley Show since its inception in January 2013. You will not like this free weight loss podcast episode if you are looking for more excuses to make for why you're not losing weight, if you're looking for more people to blame, or you're looking for more reasons to fail. If you are willing to Get Real then listen in now. The #1 Sign You're In the Whiny Butt Weight Loss Space Now The number one sign you're stuck in the Whiny Butt weight loss space right now is this: You're not losing weight and you complain often about unrealistic things related to your overeating or overweight. For example: if you often complain that, "So and so can eat whatever she wants and not gain weight but if I even look at the foods she eats I immediately put on 5 pounds!" or if you complain that your kids can eat differently than you and they never gain weight. Or if you complain that your husband eats what he wants and doesn't gain weight but you must eat clean in order to lose weight and feel great. Maybe it's time to Get Real and accept how your own body works, stop comparing your metabolism to children who have the fastest metabolism, and stop comparing yourself to men who naturally have more muscle and less fat stores. This can be very hard to face but if you really want to lose weight then you could choose to let go of the whiny butt weight loss attitude and make peace with yourself, your body, and with food. The JoLynn Braley Show's podcast episode #595 can help you get real also. For more on this topic, listen to " Do You Have to Grow Up to Lose Weight? " if you're willing to get totally honest with yourself, which is what getting real is all about. Why would you even want to Get Real? The only reason to get real with yourself now is if you are committed to losing weight because you will need to get moving now in order to get the weight loss results you seek on your weight loss journey .
