Whispers in the Dark: Finding God in Betrayal | Daily Readings | April 5, 2025 | Saturday of the Fourth Week of Lent

Today’s Scripture reflections for Saturday of the Fourth Week of Lent:First Reading (Jeremiah 11:18-20): Jeremiah experiences betrayal from those closest to him, but entrusts his cause to the Lord who judges justly.Responsorial Psalm (Psalm 7:2-3, 9bc-10, 11-12): In the face of injustice, the Psalmist cries out for God's protection and righteous judgment.Gospel (John 7:40-53): Confusion and division surround Jesus as leaders plot against Him, yet God's greater plan remains unshaken.Through these readings, we are invited to bring our raw, unfiltered struggles to God, to maintain integrity when falsely accused, and to trust that divine protection is already at work even when betrayal strikes. This sacred Lenten journey prepares us to face Holy Week with courage and deep trust.A ministry of Christus Dominus Bread of Life.Produced in collaboration with Christus Dominus Studios.
