Whispers of the Sacred Word

I testify moreover that with but a movement of Thy pen, thine injunction, “Be thou,” hath been enforced, and God’s hidden secret hath been divulged, and all created things have been called into being, and all the revelations have been sent down. Man is the supreme talisman. Lack of proper education hath, however, deprived him of that he doth not inherently possess. I bear witness that Thou art the One, the Single, the Incomparable, the ever-abiding. O God, refresh and gladden my spirit. Purify my heart. Illumine my powers. I lay all my affairs in Thy hands. Send down upon me, and those in my company, that which will enable us to soar into the heavens of Thy transcendent glory. Empower us, then, O my God, to spread abroad Thy signs among Thy creatures. Unite the hearts of Thy servants and reveal to them Thy great purpose. Make Thy beauty to be my food, and Thy presence my drink,  and Thy pleaseur my hope, and praise of Thee my action. Hear me, that the people may once again find the good road and the shading tree.
