Not a single leaf stirred. The stars above, ancient and watching, shone with the hush of reverence, their quiet gleam bathing the meadow in a glow older than time. Lysira remained there, luminous and unbound. Her form, once so easily defined by hoof and horn, now shimmered in and out of view—sometimes solid, sometimes light, sometimes a thought passing through the air. Those who still wandered the Silver Grove would sometimes feel her near when the wind grew still, when the hush settled thick between the trees, or when the stars curved just slightly inward.
