Send us Fan MailWhispers to Tomorrow: A Stoic Reflection on Love and LossWelcome to the Copinghagen Podcast, where we explore the deeper questions of life through the lens of stoic philosophy. I’m your host, Patrick Cullen. Today’s episode is one of personal reflection, a message for my daughter—a meditation on love, loss, and the fleeting nature of life. As the Stoics remind us, nothing is certain, but in that uncertainty lies beauty. This is Whispers to Tomorrow. There’s a weight in the air today. A stillness that echoes with the fragility of life, with the moments we try to grasp, knowing they’ll slip away. I want to speak to you… to my baby girl. You’re only one year old, but already, you’ve filled my heart in ways words will never fully capture. You are the most beautiful, most wondrous, most indescribable element of my life. And yet, I know… I may not have the time I want with you. No one ever truly knows how long they have. “We are like leaves on the wind,” as Epictetus once said, “carried by forces we cannot control.” None of us knows when our last breath will come, when our heart will beat for the final time. This is the truth that I must face, and one that I want to share with you, even if these words reach you after I’m gone.A copinghagen production https://copinghagen.com/10/
