We tried hard to avoid dipping into politics on this platform for several years, but the last few weeks have forced our hand. FIFA has a long-standing policy against government involvement in the sport or politics in the sport, but more and more of late they’re violating their own policies. The White House FIFA World Cup Task Force is the latest trigger. Here in the United States sports whether it’s Democrats in urban cities building taxpayer-subsidized stadiums for billionaires or the recent Infantino-Trump bromance, sports seems to be getting more political every day.Why is this a problem.
