White is NOT the New Black

While white people continually make attempts to control the narrative, with new terms, labels and definitions, where does that leave ours? Did we even ever get to be in our identity? As Black and Brown people grapple with economy as it unfolds, holding on to what little of their basic needs can be met - food, water, warmth, rest - as well as the rise of conservatism, it should be that Black and Brown people are represented in the demand for basic need provision, but is that really happening? Is ‘grassroots’ the new term used by white people as a mask?
