White Sox Struggle Without Teel | Cleveland Guardians News

White Sox’s playoff push just got a lot tougher as catcher Kyle Teel goes back on the injured list with a left ankle sprain—just as the Guardians close in on them. At just 24, Teel’s already battled leg injuries this season, delaying his debut until June, and now with only 19 games under his belt, he’s sidelined again. His .190 batting average in 63 at-bats hasn’t been stellar, and backup Drew Romo is likely to take over. The team’s called up Edgar Quero from Triple-A, who’s also struggled offensively (.187 in 150 at-bats), adding pressure as the Sox try to stay atop the AL Central with key roster moves.
