Whitney Barber; Learning to Listen

from Mummy Republic Podcast

It's amazing all the things in life we take for granted. It isn't until you go through something or meet someone who's path is different to yours that you realise just how much. Whitney Barber has been profoundly deaf since birth and with that has experienced a great deal of ups and downs. Taking on motherhood with the loss of one of her senses was an adjustment, but no more so than any other transition period in her life. We chat about her journey, from high school to now, her daily tasks to her achievements and learn just a little more insight into what it's like to live in a world where sound is a luxury. If you want to follow more of Whitney's journey you can find her over on Instagram @thewifelife @villamicasa or www.thewifelife.com.au xx
