And his response is not triumph or entitlement. He enters the tabernacle, sits before the Ark, and asks: "Who am I, Lord God, and what is my house, that you should have brought me so far?" This is what genuine encounter with grace produces, not self-importance but stunned wonder, not demands but gratitude. David came with a container large enough to receive what God wanted to give.In the Gospel, Jesus asks why anyone would light a lamp and then hide it under a basket. Light is meant to shine. Truth is meant to be revealed. And then He issues a warning that should stop us cold: "With the measure you use, it will be measured to you." The size of the container you bring to God determines what you receive. Come with a thimble, distracted and half-hearted, and your thimble will eventually empty. Come with a large vessel, hungry and attentive, and it will overflow. What measure are you bringing to prayer, to Scripture, to your encounter with Christ? David brought wonder. The disciples brought persistence. What will you bring?📖 ReadingsFirst Reading: 2 Samuel 7: 18-19, 24-29Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 132:1-2, 3-5, 11, 12, 13-14Gospel: Mark 4: 21-25⏱️ Timeline00:00 Introduction00:15 Reading I - 2 Samuel 7: 18-19,24-2901:41 Psalm Response - Psalm 13207:44 Gospel - Mark 4: 21-2508:25 Reflection - Who am I?🎧 Prefer to listen on the go?
