Who am I? This is the daily disturbance broadcast with Anthony Fungi-Hinan. So, who are you? My name's Anthony.

From where are you? What else do people ask? What's your faith? Or why is that your face?

For me, growing up, it was a question of my number, right? We were nine children. So, pongi-lang, anaka, it was a question. So, what number are you?

I'd have to keep on saying, I'm number six, but, you know, literally, I was just a number. But as I grow older, as you guys grow older, right? It kind of shifted. So, what do you do?

Or what are you studying? Where did you study? What course? You know, every question was like a best, right?

And depending on your answer, it was evidence, it was proof of your identity, your value as a human being. So, where do you work? Oh, that company? Who am I?

Who are you? And you know, our answers often don't match, right? Well, what others have to say? Some can't even answer the question for themselves.

And so, confuse others in the process. I'm going to give you all the answers. I'm going to give you all the answers. I'm going to give you all the answers.

I recall this verse by Paul, right? I have become all things to all men that I might be able to save some, right? So, to the Greek, I'm a Greek to the unbeliever, I'm an unbeliever to the German Jew, but he had a goal. And he was merely adjusting to people because of that goal.

The problem with many, even today, is that I have become all things to all men, that I might be able to be all things to all men. Just a sense of belongingness, of being approved, of acceptance. Who are you? The struggle of the human being, right?

More aware of being a human doing. But the reality is, you are unique. Jeremiah 1 verse 5, Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you, you, I'm speaking to you, you apart.

In Psalm 139, I am fearfully and wonderfully made, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, Fearfully, which means in all I was made, fear and all, you know, are often interchanged in the Bible. David Benner, a psychologist and author of the book, The Gift of Being Yourself, defines identity as who we experience ourselves to be, the eye each of us carries within. So, who are you? Who are you to you?

See, your sense of self would cover your beliefs, your values, your preferences, your personality, your non-negotiables. In Puede, you in Puede, your boundaries, your moral code. Ayan, indica, tangap, tangap, sayyan, ito, ayan. Some of you are conscious of these things, but there are many things you are not.

You know, in a conversation, I once had with a group, as to how to help a person struggling with a certain trauma. You know, as we explored what the person might have gone through in life, one of those in the group offering to help suddenly broke down in tears. And started to weep. You know, at that moment, she had suddenly remembered what she herself went through, her own trauma, which she thought she had long forgotten, and then realized how it had still defined her.

And in a way, still imprisoned her. Well, that night was a breakthrough, as she was freed from something holding her back. But the point I'm making here is sometimes we are making decisions not on the basis of our conscious values, but our unconscious fears. So, who are you?

Again and again, I asked this question. Evicted to himself said, no, first, who you are. And then adorned yourself accordingly. Here are eight powerful hints.

Indicators of who you really are. Number one, truths. What are your truths? Do you believe that everyone has something to offer?

This is what they need. That sacrifice perhaps is a key to success. Do you believe that there's one aspect of situation you know nothing about? Is it your truth that heaven and hell exist?

That there's a God who was a plan for your life? Is it your truth that love conquers all? Your truths help define you. Number two, heart, the core of your being.

Not IQ, okay, I'm pointing to my head. Not barbecue, pointing to my stomach. Now I'm pointing to my chest now. The deepest part, the truest part of you, your heart.

What is the core of your being telling you now? Even as you listen to me at this moment. Number three, idol or idols. Those we look up to set the stage for what we ourselves attempt to do, right?

They become our peg. Sinobahang, they need tingalamu. Be mindful, right? Because not all of a person's traits are worth emulating.

Number four, standards. What is acceptable to you? What is allowable? What is not allowable, not negotiable?

It's tough to reach or go past a standard that you have not yet said. Number five, intelligences, okay? And there are at least seven, if you recall, multiple intelligences. You are blessed with at least one.

What is our yours? Are you word smart, right? Are you music smart? Are you art smart?

Numbers smart. Are you people smart? Earth smart, right? Environmental intelligence.

Are you self smart? Are you God smart? Number six, season. What stage face or season of life?

Are you in, my friend? Some things, some endeavors, some interests or even some people that you will always treasure and identify with in life may not be in this season of your life. Perhaps they were there for a specific time or period in your life. Dr.

Henry Cloud and I quote everything has seasons and we have to be able to recognize when something's time has passed and be able to move into the next season. Everything that is alive requires pruning as well. That includes your identity, which is a great metaphor for endings. Number six, mission.

What are you willing to die for? What are you willing to live for? The purpose driven life, right? By Rick Warren.

And let's note his advice to those who struggle to find their purpose. Look at your gifts. Because the purpose of your life is hidden in those gifts. Number seven, enthusiasm source.

What makes you rejoice? What gives you deep satisfaction? What makes you come alive? What enthoses you, in other words?

I remember when my daughter Hannah was quite young, she was so bubbly and quite active. Mariselle sought advice. She was quite concerned from family counselor, Dr. Auro Ritarodan.

And as Mariselle explained Hannah's condition, she was asking with great concern, is my daughter hyperactive, you know, over enthusiastic child? I'm quite concerned. And Dr. Auroodan replied, I'm not sure she's hyperactive, but she's definitely happy.

What is your source of enthusiasm? Well, let me add something here, okay? It's not just who you are, but who's you are? Enthusiastic comes from two Greek words, and Theos, I've said this before, in God.

John 112, yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave them the right to be called children of God. Truths, heart, idols, standards, intelligences, season, mission, and enthusiasm. T-H-I-S-I-S-M-E. This is me.

Nice to meet you.
