Who Are We? // The Triumphant Suffering of Christ [1 Peter 3:18-4:6] (Gavin Lynch)

Gavin Lynch continues our "Who Are We" series, looking at 1 Peter 3 and 4. Apologies, we missed the first few minutes of the message in the recording this week. Gavin breaks our passage this week up into two triumphs - Triumphant suffering of Christ (1 Peter 3:18-22), and Triumphant living in Christ (1 Peter 4:1-6). We start as Gavin is explaining the triumphant suffering of Christ, as he jumps into verse 18 and begins to break it down. Gavin then continues through verse 18 in to 20, and looks at the fallen angels and the story of Noah and his family. He then wraps up chapter 3 with some applications before heading into the second division in the start of chapter 4. Gavin looks at what suffering for Christ looks like today, looking at the sins from verse 3, and how we can be different. He then wraps up with the final couple of verses and the gospel message within, relating to Romans 6:23.
