Who Can and Can't Eat the Korban Pesach? (Hilchos Korban Pesach 9:7-9)

from Rambam Bekius · host Rabbi Matt Schneeweiss

Have any questions, insights, or feedback? Send me a text! This afternoon (4/6/22), in our Rambam Bekius chavurah, we endeavored to do a deep dive into the topic of "meshumad l'avodah zarah" (apostate to idolatry), in which we'd read through every single source in the Mishneh Torah on that topic. Unfortunately, we had to cut shiur short by 15 minutes, and we didn't make it all the way through. At least we finished the perek!----מקורות:רמב"ם - מורה הנבוכים ג:נארמב"ם - משנה תורה: ספר המדע, הלכות דעות ג:ב-געבודה זרה ב:ה; ט:יז-יחתשובה ג:טתפלה וברכת כהנים טו:גשבת ל:טורש"י - במדבר טו:כב----This week's Torah content has been sponsored by Ann, who (against my will) asked that it be sponsored in honor of me. I'd like to take this moment to thank ALL my regular donors and Patrons for their support. The total cost of my five podcasts in 2021 amounted to over $2000 - all of which would have come out of my own pocket were it not for your generosity. Thank you for helping me make Torah ideas available and accessible to everyone!----Bekius Disclaimer:Note that this is a bekius chavurah - as opposed to an iyun shiur. Each session consists of us reading through the Rambam's writings together without much preparation on my part, and without going into depth by consulting commentaries or primary sources. For all these reasons, there are bound to be inaccuracies, errors, and other types of shortcomings which would not be acceptable in a prepared shiur, but are quite typical of a bekius chavurah. Please bear this in mind, and know what you're signing up for when you listen!----If you have questions, comments, or feedback, I can be reached at rabbischneeweiss at gmail.----If you've gained from what you've learned here, please consider contributing to my Patreon at www.patreon.com/rabbischneeweiss.
