Who Can Be Saved? ⛰️ Pt.3 Sermon On The Mount ⛰️ Matthew 5:17-20 (CSB)

We're back in the Sermon on the Mount as we unpack the question what must a Christian do to be saved? In the Beatitudes, Jesus said that men and women who are pure in heart are blessed because they will see God. No one else will be able to stand in God's presence. The pre-requisite for admission isn't a checklist of good deeds or religious sentiment. The only thing needed is a heart that has never failed to love and obey God completely. So who then can be saved? Nobody is born with a pure heart. Therefore no one is qualified to see God. Except for the One who never broke a single one of God's commands. Because He had a pure heart that wanted to obey. That of course is Jesus. He is good enough for God. And so is anyone found in Him.
