Who Can Lead the Church?

The church is Christ’s. She is His bride. But the marriage has not reached its consummated status yet. Who is to care for the bride of Christ until He returns to take her home? The New Testament outlines two offices which are to tend the flock of God while He remains physically absent. Elders and deacons are to care for the property of the Master while He is away, and return it to Him in an abundant statewhen He returns.
