Who Do You Say Jesus is? (Matthew 16)

from Coventry Vineyard Podcast · host Coventry Vineyard

Who do you say I am? This is the question that Jesus asks Peter. I am not interested in what other people say, Peter, I want to know what you think. (Matthew 16:13-20) As I [Serena] have been preparing my talk for this week I am convinced that this is a key question for us to answer. Jesus’s response to Peter, one of his closest friends, is so encouraging as well. Flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but the very Spirit of God. If Jesus recognised that some revelation cannot be taught, how much more then, can we rely on our faithful teacher the Holy Spirit to reveal things to us and our neighbours. This week we will explore the confidence and joy that comes as we understand who is this man Jesus.
