Who Endures

Apparently Saul did have intentions to perhaps once again - surprise, surprise - search for David. But David’s plan - or was it God’s plan? -works! Saul’s not following David into the Philistine territory. Saul can have his kingdom, and the one who should be King is no longer in Israel. Saul’s happy. The pressure is off David. He’s forced an end. And because the pressure is off, some might say, “David’s okay here! Sure, we didn’t hear a prayer, but he’s successful! Doors are opening! Saul’s pursuit stopped!” But does God call us to turn off pressure valves, or trust Him in the fire?
