Who has it better, women or men?

The word matriarchy, for a society politically led by females, especially mothers, who also control property, is often interpreted to mean the genderal opposite of patriarchy, but it is not an opposite. Is this why Modern women are confused about their position in social economic status or is this the evolution and revolution of modern women alongside extreme and radical feminist?
