Who is CONCACAF's biggest hope? | World Cup Preview #6
from Any Given Thursday
It's a CONCACAF World Cup for the first time in 32 years, so it's only right that we take a look at the 3 host nations, as well as their confederation-mates from Central America and the Caribbean. Who has the strongest squad? Who's got the best shot to go deep? Who's most likely to crash and burn? We begin with the always-drama-filled United States and Mexico, where we compare and contrast strengths and weaknesses and debate their respective ceilings. Does the U.S. have a midfield problem? Who's scoring the goals for El Tri? How far can Mexico's Azteca advantage take them? Then we look into Jesse Marsch's unique Canada's squad, who win with continuity and high work-rate, but have been plagued by the injury bug. Can Alphonso Davies return in time to inspire a knockouts run? We also take a look at Panama's veteran group who play a classic CONCACAF style and appreciate the incredible stories of Haiti and Curaçao, who overcame great odds to be at the tournament. Cheers! Note: This was originally scheduled as the 7th preview, but was moved up a day. The final preview episode will be up tomorrow! Chapters: 3:55 - USA 18:15 - Mexico 25:05 - Canada 31:35 - Panama 36:05 - Haiti 38:55 - Curaçao
