Who Is Your King Week 3

🔴 LIVE: WHO IS YOUR KING? 👑 | 1 Samuel 4–7 In this 1 Samuel sermon, Randy explores the story of the Ark of the Covenant and Dagon to reveal what happens when we try to use God instead of surrender to Him. Discover why God will not be manipulated as a religious tool. This week, the housing market showed a strange tension—mortgage rates are hovering around 7%, inventory is up, but buyers feel locked out and sellers feel stuck. It all comes back to a deep human desire for stability and control over our future. But while a house and financial security are good things, they cannot become our god. When we are in trouble or need God to come through, it is incredibly easy to treat Him like a cosmic vending machine. Today we are diving into 1 Samuel 4–7 to look at Israel’s devastating mistake and answer a challenging question: Who is your king when God doesn't cooperate with your plan? We’re breaking down: ✅ God is Not a Genie: Why you cannot carry God around like a religious technique, and the danger of wanting His power without His rule. 🧞‍♂️❌ ✅ Every False King Bows: The hilarious and powerful reality of Dagon falling on his face before the Ark, proving that Yahweh doesn't need us to defend His reputation. 🏛️ ✅ Stop Standing Your Idols Up: How to recognize what is competing for the throne of your heart, and why you need to leave your fallen idols on the floor. 🗿 ✅ Surrender, Not Technique: Why God isn't looking for your Christian formulas or religious manipulation—He wants your full repentance and surrender. 🤲 If you are trying to manipulate God to get your desired outcome, you don't really want Him as King; you want Him as leverage. Stop trying to drag God into your plan, and start returning to Him with your whole heart today. 📖 Key Scriptures Covered: • Matthew 6:33 – "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." • 1 Samuel 4:3 – "Let us bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord here from Shiloh, that it may come among us and save us from the power of our enemies." • 1 Samuel 5:3-4 – "...behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the Lord, and the head of Dagon and both his hands were lying cut off..." • Colossians 2:15 – "He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in Him." 👇 We’d love to hear from you!
