What makes someone a good parent or caregiver? Is it rules and boundaries? Is it an environment with little structure and lots of self-exploration? Everyone from teachers to doctors have opinions on raising how to best raise children. While they may want the best for children, I want parents/caregivers to know that they are the ones who make the rules that guide their parenting!

There is no official rule book regarding parenting, despite the vast amount of writing and research out there. I've had the good fortune of working with parents and caregivers who strive each day to support their children's physical, emotional, and mental well-being. I want those parents to know they are the best advocates for their children. In this episode, I share the importance of establishing your parenting values to help guide your decision-making as a parent.

By the end of this episode, you will know: how media and your upbringing influence your parenting values, what parenting values are, and why they are crucial to your parenting. You will leave with the first few things you will need to start identifying your parenting values.
