"Whoever Believes" Part 2 [ John 3:16-17]

John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. When the Scripture talks about "whoever believes" it actually talking about accepting Christ as one's only Lord and Saviour. But the real meaning is still far beyond this level. The word, "Whoever believes" is all encompassing as far as our salvation race is concerned. Believing is the very first step of having eternal life. That is level of being born again (having the new of Christ in you). Then begins the journey of abiding in Christ and walking in His footsteps. O Lord my Saviour, help to always abide in you, live by your word and to walk in your footsteps. In Jesus' name. Amen.
