Whoever Humbles Himself

Matthew 18:1–35; John 7:2–52Jesus calls a small child to stand among his disciples and tells them that whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven — then teaches them how to handle a brother who sins, and how many times to forgive. As the Feast of Tabernacles approaches, his own brothers don't believe in him, so he goes up to Jerusalem quietly. Halfway through the feast, he begins teaching openly in the temple, and the crowd can't agree on who he is — some call him a good man, others say he deceives the people, and the officers sent to arrest him come back empty-handed.We are in a Matthew-John Harmony.
