Whole
from Poetry by Tim Windisch · host Tim Windisch
Whole Part of me lies crying in bed, part of me stumbles towards the door Some of me feels the pounding in my head, the rest can’t take no more Split apart and fractured into pieces, getting back together is the goal Too many days fell into the creases, it’s time for us to get back whole Whole and healthy and happy in each other’s arms Clear my head of the cacophony of burglar alarms My heart was robbed, yeah cause from our first kiss you stole The key to me, babe can’t you see, only you can make me whole Some of me thinks I should just, forget about having any chance Still more of me says that I must, not forget the magic of romance Taking the bits and pieces of the parts, mine are yours joined as we roll Like a distant supernova starts, we explode when we become whole Whole and healthy and happy in each other’s arms Clear my head of the cacophony of burglar alarms My heart was robbed, yeah cause from our first kiss you stole The key to me, babe can’t you see, only you can make me whole Whole and happy to be, in the arms of my baby again Even a blind man could see, our mix is the perfect blend Whole together shedding tears, wiped dry by the love we share Pushing aside all of our fears, comforted by each other’s care Whole and healthy and happy in each other’s arms Clear my head of the cacophony of burglar alarms My heart was robbed, yeah cause from our first kiss you stole The key to me, babe can’t you see, only you can make me whole Whole Tim Windisch 11/26/2022
