Kraig McHardy, Founder and CEO of Wholistic Growth for Generations joins his interns in a discussion with our Host, Anthony Ray about WGG...the first HBCU Obesity Prevention Internship program. Wholistic Growth for Generations (WGG) is a 501C3, nonprofit corporation that was established as a resource to help enhance communities by providing substantive programs to help youth strive toward attaining a better quality of life. The purpose of the organization is to provide multiple avenues for youth to follow that will allow them to receive the necessary tools to sustain a healthy lifestyle. WGG consists of several educational components which include a statewide obesity prevention curriculum, developmental sports camps, and educational programs such as tutoring, mentoring and employment services. WGG has college interns on staff who work in various capacities towards achieving the organization’s objectives.
