Who's Your One?

from South Shore Community Church · host Dr. Nic Williams

The heart of Jesus' mission reveals His deep care for each individual, demonstrated through the parable of the shepherd who leaves 99 sheep to find the one that's lost. This powerful illustration shows that in God's kingdom, every single person matters, and He celebrates when even one person comes to know Him. The transformative power of a single invitation is exemplified in the story of Andrew and Peter, where one brother's simple invitation led to extraordinary impact in the early church. Making room for others requires both practical and spiritual commitment, including creating welcoming spaces, praying for opportunities, and being willing to step out of our comfort zones. While past church experiences or fear of not having all the answers might hold us back, the focus should be on simply inviting others to experience Jesus for themselves. This approach to ministry isn't about having perfect theology or all the answers - it's about being willing to reach out to others with God's love. The key is identifying your one person, committing to pray for them, and looking for opportunities to show them God's love through invitation and service.
