Over the course of the past couple of weeks there have been many discussions related to the issue of abortion, how it impacts the rights of women, as well as who should have a say in what we do with our bodies. And while it can be easy to get wrapped up in the debate regarding whether or not the government should be allowed to make those decisions for its populace, we must be careful not to miss the only Person’s opinion that truly matters. The One of who made our bodies in the first place. God. The issues surrounding how we use our bodies are not new. Paul throughout the first letter to the Corinthians repeatedly addresses the churches exhaustive forays into the flesh, even addressing some of the dominant mentalities of the day that had worked their way into the church.
