First, The plaintiff brings her best friend to court because she’s worried about her and wants her to get help. She thinks the defendant has spiraled out of control and become a crystal meth addict. She bought a car for the defendant, but then the defendant got a DUI and wrecked it. She’s suing for the value of a car. The defendant is countersuing for breach of contract. Then, The plaintiff used to be married to the defendant and they have three children together. She says he physically and emotionally abused her on a daily basis, which caused her to lose some of her hearing. Their son got in trouble and they agreed to help split fees so he could get back on his feet, but he hasn’t paid, so she’s suing for breach of contract and emotional distress. The defendant says he has turned his life around and is in recovery. He’s countersuing for emotional distress.
