Last year saw Alabama State finally get over the FAMU sized hump in the schedule in a very lopsided victory over the home Rattlers. This year's battle has Alabama State sitting again near the top of the SWAC’s preseason polls and expecting to again make a run for the SWAC title. But here come the Rattlers who seemingly have nothing to play for but everything to gain.
