Now I used to say 30 clients was the magic number, but I have now changed that to 15 and the reason being is once you have 15 clients you are now financially secure and you don’t have to worry about paying your bills. Now you certainly won’t be where you WANT to be when it comes to finances, BUT you will be able to pay all of your necessary bills. Plus having 15 clients will prove to you that you can sign clients consistently and sign even more. This might be credited to the fact that you make good content, that you have a solid marketing system, or that you have a solid sales process. But having 15 clients will help prove to yourself that you can do this again and again, and that you should be doing it full-time. Another reason why 15 clients is the magic number is that if you had 3 clients fall off your roster you can replace them and not have to worry about finances. But if you only have 5 clients and 3 fall off, that’s half your roster and that could be very nerve-racking. So having 15 clients helps give you a sense of security knowing you will always have a really solid roster.
