Why Adults Hate Being Beginners

Kids are allowed to suck at things. Adults? Somehow we decide that looking incompetent is embarrassing. In this episode I talk about why getting older can make us afraid to become beginners again — from CrossFit and learning Mandarin to snowboarding, career changes, podcasting, and even a childhood dream of learning to fly. Maybe getting older isn't about knowing everything. Maybe it's about being less embarrassed by what you haven't learned yet.
