Why and How You Belong (Follow Me, Ep. 03)

from Mountainview Church Audio · host Mountainview Church

Asking questions is a critical component of growth and development. Infants can't formulate a question, but "who" is being answered, beginning with parents, and expanding from there. Toddlers ask the question "what" (as in "What's that?") as they start to explore their world. Childhood is about filling in the details of "where" and "when". Every child wants to know, "Where are we going?" and "When will we get there?"Identity and purpose are focal points in the teen years, leading them to ask “why" and “how" questions. Suppose parents and guardians don't help with the "why", they'll find answers elsewhere. If the answers to "how" don't include their participation, we'll find ourselves back to the beginning with "what", as in "What's the point?"Throughout our Follow Me series, we've witnessed how the developmental stages of life give us insight into the spiritual stages of discipleship. This week, we're moving into the spiritual teen years. We'll learn why the Church must have good answers to why and how, for spiritual teens to belong.#Church #God #Jesus #Lord #Christianity #Disciple #Discipleship #FollowMe #Spiritual #Teens Mountainview Church carries the necessary Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) license to play and perform the contained Christian worship songs.
